Nintendo DS games that could get a remake or port
The Nintendo DS is the second best-selling console of all-time. It had a huge variety of games released for it, which included classics like Mario Kart DS. It's also one of my favourite Nintendo systems ever. In the last few years, a few Nintendo DS games have received their own remakes such as: Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team, Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story.
So, what other Nintendo DS games could get a remake or port? Here are some games that I was thinking should get a Nintendo Switch remake sometime.
Pokémon Black and White.
Since the first four generations of Pokémon games have all recived their own remakes, it would only sense for the 5th generation of games to be remade too. For a remake, maybe the story could be a combination of both the orignal and sequal's story. Or maybe parts of the original story could be used, while adding new parts to it, then the sequal's story is a DLC addition. Remakes could add online battles and trading (since you can't do that on the originals anymore, due to the discontinuation of Nintendo DS wifi connection) character customisation, more post-game content (DLC).
Also, maybe Pokémon Link could be a playable minigame in it. That was a fun puzzle game for the Nintendo DS that deserves a remake of somesort. Maybe featuring it as a playable minigame could be a post-game feature.
WarioWare D.I.Y
This was one of my favourite Nintendo DS games, for the reason that it let you create your own microgames. As well as coming packed with over 100 microgames already, you have the ability to create any microgame you want ranging from 8-15 seconds long. You get to design the graphics, customise the gameplay of the microgames, create a soundtrack, literally everything! The game also gives you the ability to create your own soundtracks on it too.
In a remake, perhaps as well as touch-screen controls, there could be the option of creating joycon, or motion controls microgames. And of course there could be an online mode where you can share your microgames online.
The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks.
Since I never played Phantom Hourglass, I'll choose Sirit Tracks as the Zelda DS game to get a remake. This was a great entry in the Zelda series, and it didn't disapoint with its adverntures and puzzles in this game. It would be cool to get another remake of a classic Zelda game, and it could be sold alongside the upcoming Zelda Tears of The Kingdom game.
Super Mario 64 DS
Now, this would techinically be a remake of a remake, but I think it should definitely be made. Super Mario 64 is one of the most iconic games in the Mario series, as it was Mario's first 3D adventure. the game had many different levels and over 120 power-stars to collect in the game. A remake was made on the Nintendo DS that added Luigi, Yoshi, and Wario as playable characters. There is also a minigame mode where you can unlock lots of minigames to play, as well as a multiplayer mode for up to 4 people.
A remake of this game could change the story to something with slightly more depth, and make Princess Peach a playable character (like she was in 3D World). That way, it would feel like a different game while keeping the iconic and fun gameplay levels. As well as the original levels, maybe some bonus ones could be added as post-game content. And as for the multiplayer mode, it would be cool if more multiplayer minigames were added.
