My trip to the Nintendo store in London

So, on the 4th November I went to London to meet up with three friends and to go to the Nintendo store together. Since a temporary store there opened in late October and will be there for a few weeks.

We all met up outside Westfield Shopping Centre at 2pm. We decided to have lunch first before we went to the Nintendo store, so and went to Nando's, since it was a place we all liked and were familiar with. I had half a roast chicken, chips, and garlic bread (my go-to Nando's meal). Like every Nando's meal, it was lovely. And it was nice getting to catch up with my three friends while we ate lunch. :)

After this it 3:10pm and we went to the Nintendo store. After searching for a little while we found it and there was a quee outside and every so often they'd let a dozen or so people from the quee eneter the store. The line wasn't very long and only around 10-15 minutes (can't remember how long exactly we were in the quee). You could scan a QR code in the line and get 100 coins for My Nintendo, but since I wasn't signed into my Nintendo Online account on my phone, I was unable to do this, unfortunately. :( But I didn't really mind too much, since I was so excited to go into the store. :)

 
The line didn't feel very long at all since my friends and I were enjoying talking about the merch we could see through the windows inside the store and talking about games. :) The staff were also handing out free postcards to everyone in the quee. As the line moved closer and closer to the store we were feeling more and more excited. :)

Finally, it was our turn to go into the store and all four of us got to go in at once. One of my friends and I  grabbed a basket each and instantly started shopping. They were playing various Nintendo soundtracks in the store. As soon as went in they were playing Jump Up Superstar, which is one of my favourite Mario songs. :) The store had a nice layout with each Nintendo series having its own section. There were sections for Mario (that was the biggest, unsurprisngly. ), Zelda, Donkey kong, Kirby, Pikmin, Animal Crossing, and Splatoon. No Pokemon stuff, though.

I bought a Mario T-shirt, some limited edition Nintendo badges, A Mario folder and Animal Crossing folders (The folders can be used as posters), a couple of plushies, and a Donkey Kong keyring. All very nice stuff, but very expensive, because the price of all this was £123! Since a lot of the stuff was limited edition and I'd been hoping a Nintendo store would open in the UK for years now, it was worth it. :)  I could've easily spent more money there since there was endless amounts of cool merch. One of my friends got a bunch of cool merch too including some Animal Crossing plushies. The carrier bags the store gave out looked really nice too and featured the same design as the postcards.

The layout of the store was great and the music was a nice touch. :) The only thing I think could've been better about it was more variety of Kirby stuff, since it was mostly just plushies for the Kirby stuff, compared to other series which had shirt, stationary, figurines, folders.

The store was great and I hope they decide to do something similar again, or make a permanent Nintendo store. :)
